Then everything flipped and dawned on me that she could possibly be talking from a Caucasian perspective to Black people (since she's biracial). Then after reading the lyrics I was for sure she was talking about race, but only thought that she was speaking from a Black perspective to Caucasian people. The only parts I seemed to totally understand was the chorus and even then it seemed to me that she was talking about race. I always wondered what she was talking about on this song.
